DeZURIK has been approved and authorized for PED. (5/19/2009)

DeZURIK has been approved and authorized by Bureau Veritas, a European Union authorized notified body, as a valve manufacturer that meets the standard requirements of the European Union Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC. Bureau Veritas is an internationally recognized organization that has existed since 1828.

The PED of the European Union sets out the standards for the quality systems and the design and manufacture of pressure equipment generally over one liter in volume and having a maximum pressure more than 0.5 bar gauge (7.25 psig) and destined for service in the European Community.

DeZURIK’s Sartell MN factory site was extensively evaluated for maintaining a quality system that satisfies the requirements of the standard. Products that are included in the approval are DeZURIK VPB V-Port Ball Valve, RCV Rotary Control Valve, and BHP High Performance Butterfly Valves. Proof of PED compliance for a specific product intended for shipment to the European Union is provided by either Sound Engineering Practice (SEP) conformity or CE Marking and an EC Declaration of conformity.
